subba is the AI receptionist and booking system for local businesses. It answers your website enquiries in seconds, in your voice, and books customers straight into your diary, so you stop losing work to missed messages and slow replies. This plugin connects your WordPress site to your subba account in a couple of clicks.
It adds three things to your site:
- AI chat widget – a chat bubble in the corner that answers questions about your services, hours and prices, captures the enquiry, and can take a booking. Powered by your subba account, so it always knows your real, up-to-date information.
- Online booking embed – a
[subba_booking]shortcode drops your booking widget onto any page or post. Customers pick a service and time and book themselves in, 24/7. The embed resizes itself to fit your page. - Contact form forwarding – submissions from your existing forms are sent to subba automatically, so every enquiry lands in one inbox and gets an instant reply. Works with Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms and Ninja Forms out of the box, no reconfiguration.

External services
This plugin connects your site to subba, a service operated by Polarize Ltd, so the chat, booking and enquiry features can work. It is required for the plugin to function, and nothing is sent until you configure it. Here is exactly what is sent, and when:
- Chat widget (api.subba.pro). When the chat widget is enabled, each page that shows it loads a small launcher script from
https://api.subba.pro/f/<your form id>/chat.jsand opens the chat in a subba-hosted frame. If a visitor uses the chat, the messages they type and any contact details they choose to give (such as name, email or phone) are sent to subba to generate a reply and log the enquiry. Nothing is sent for visitors who do not open the chat. - Booking embed (book.subba.pro). On any page that uses the
[subba_booking]shortcode, your booking widget is embedded fromhttps://book.subba.pro/b/<your booking handle>. Details a visitor enters to make a booking (such as name, email, phone, chosen service and time) are sent to subba to create the booking. - Form forwarding (api.subba.pro). When form forwarding is enabled, a submission from a supported form plugin is sent to
https://api.subba.pro/f/<your form id>so subba can answer and log it. The data sent is the submitter’s name, email address and message, plus a “source” label of “wordpress”. Submissions are only forwarded while this option is switched on.

- Install the plugin: in your WordPress admin go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose
subba.zip, then Install Now. Or upload thesubbafolder to/wp-content/plugins/. - Click Activate.
- Go to Settings > subba.
- Paste your Form ID and Booking handle from your subba dashboard, choose whether to show the chat bubble and forward form submissions, and Save changes.
- To show your booking widget on a page, add the shortcode
[subba_booking]to any page or post.

Will it slow down my site?

No. The chat script is loaded in the footer and the booking widget loads in its own frame, so your pages render normally. Form submissions are forwarded in the background and never hold up the visitor.

What data is sent to subba, and is it private?

Only what is needed for each feature to work: chat messages and any contact details a visitor provides, booking details when someone books, and the name, email and message from a forwarded form submission. See the “External services” section above and subba’s privacy policy for the full detail.

Does it work with any theme?

Yes. The chat bubble and booking embed work with any standard WordPress theme, and the settings live under Settings > subba.

How do I remove it?

Deactivate and delete the plugin from the Plugins screen. Once removed, the chat widget, booking embed and form forwarding stop, and no further data is sent to subba.
